Please read and check off the following items; this form will help us know if Summercore is the right program for you
I am applying to Summercore at ISB
June 26-30, 2000
--- I understand that this will involve 8am to 5pm for the 5 days, unless we decide along with Dorothy Blake to modify the time slot
--- I understand that my application will be considered only when I have filled out the entire Summercore application form
--- I understand that Summercore begins on Monday at 8 am and ends on Friday at 5PM and that I will stay for the duration of the workshop.
--- I understand that Summercore is not a training program centered around one specific piece of software. I understand that except for the software programs mentioned in the Summercore flyer (MS Publisher, World Wide Web, Powerpoint, computer graphics, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint) the instructors are under no obligation to provide in-depth training on other software, even though they will provide help within the time constraints of the program.
--- I understand that Summercore is not a workshop for system managers secretaries, administrative assistants, or school staff whose technology priority is other than the use of computers in the classroom. I understand that it is not appropriate for those seeking expertise in one specific area.
--- I understand that Summercore does not have an onsite nurse and participants taken ill must visit the local hospital for medical attention.
--- I understand that if I bring a laptop to the Summercore labs (not necessary) that I am responsible for any loss or theft of this item (not likely)
--- I understand that the total fee is the equivalent of $975 American dollars, but that no initial deposit is necessary; eventually deposits and final payments will be coordinated through Dorothy Blake
Please Note: no application will be considered without the following two short essays:
1. As part of this e-mail or printout, please include 1-2 paragraphs explaining your goals and specific expectations for Summercore.
2. As part of this e-mail or printout, please include 1-2 paragraphs explaining your computer background and level of expertise.
