Getting Started on Dreamweaver |
Follow these easy steps to create your very own website using Dreamweaver!
1. Create a folder on your desktop with your website's name as the title.
To do this select FILE, NEW FOLDER, and name your folder. This folder is where you will keep all files that are related to your websites (graphics, home page, other pages, etc.).
2. Open Dreamweaver and select FILE, NEW. Choose BASIC PAGE, HTML to begin work.
The homepage must be saved as "index.htm".
This is also how you will create additional pages within your website but they can be named whatever you please.
3. Make sure your toolbars are visible. To do this, select VIEW, TOOLBARS and make sure all 3 are checked.
Next, select WINDOW, PROPERTIES for the final toolbar.
