Continuation into a fifth year curriculum is available to students who successfully complete a fourth year language course. Students must write a study proposal and meet the department's guidelines before they are accepted into this program. The focus of study must either be literature or language. Literature study includes the completion of a rigorous reading list whereas a language study focuses on advanced grammar and conversation skills in order to prepare for the Language AP Exam.
