The first computers were built in ancient times. The ancient Greeks used abacus and sundials to compute simple data to enhance their world. Since that time, a lot of changes have occurred in the history of computers. Now, superconductivity is used to make the computers. The first computer made by Macintosh was the Macintosh Plus. This computer, can be seen at one of the web sites below. It was a very simple black and white Macintosh that played old double density disks, that had only one whole in them. It also was used with one of the first printers made by Apple called the Image Writer. The Image Writer is a dot matrix printer which used ribbons for ink. Now, with the introduction of color Macintoshes and Laser Writers the quality of computers has increased. Someday, companies will share technological advances forming one universal operating system.
