Report on Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc was born in the Lorraine, France in 1412 January 6th and died in Rouen May 30 1431. She lived in Dormany, a small village in France, throughout her childhood. When she was thirteen she began hearing voices from saints telling her that she must go to war and lead France against the British.
Joan of Arc's main contribution to society was that was the first and only woman to fight for any army. She also lead France to victory in the 100 year war between Britain and France.
Interesting Facts-
- She was burned at the Cross
- She was canonized by the catholic church in 1920
- She was the member of a highly organized witch-cult
- She brought King Charles VII to his coronation ceremony in Reims
- Her zodiac sign was Capricorn
