A letter from Linda to me

Hi. I'm looking forward to being pen pals. I am interested in talking about scuba divin g. I starterd when I was about your age. You had to be 12 years old to get your certification to get your tanks refilled. I became interested when I saw "Sea Hunt", starring Lloyd Bridges. He was my hereo, and has just turned 82. I I used to scuba dive on the North Shore (Rockport).I'll write more later.

Letters from me to Linda

Dear Ms. Straniari,
It's going to be really nice being your penpal. i see that you have intrests in scubadiving. That's really cool! I've been scuba diving a couple of times... It's really fun. I also hear that you've been skydiving. it's that as scary as they say it is? Sorry, I should introduce myself. I'm Todd Levin and I'm in the 6th class at Nobles. I selected you as my penpal for the winter term of computer class.

I like to play sports and hang around with friends. I do school work about 1/2 my life and sleep the other half. I guess you could call sleeping my greatest hobby. I'd really like to meet you and I hope I can sometime over the year.

-Todd

dear Ms. Stranieri,
I'm really sorry to bother you but were writing a web page for cp1 about us and our penpals. i decided it would be a good idea to e-mail you and tell you about our project. i'd really love it if we could start exchanging more letters, and I'd also like to get more info about you.
-Todd

A little about Linda (written by her)

I am particularly interested in astronomy. I used to work with Fortran, a scientific language for computers in the late sixties, early seventies. I have a master's degree in counciling psychology from Anna Maria College in Paxton Massachusetts. I recieved my Bachelors degree in phychology from the American University in Washington D.C. I enjoy traveling, I have been to Germany and Scandanavia, Norway, Denmark and Sweden. I used to SCUBA dive in Beverly Massachusetts, and mountain climb with the Appalachian Mountain Club. I once went parachuting. This was my work history: I want to talk about my first job when I graduated from college and my last job when I left the work force. When I graduaed from college I worked with Worcester Biological and Cancer Research. At the same time with Marvin Richmond Photography Studio in Worcester, and going to school at the academy of security and investigation. After that I worked at Jordan Marsh (now Macy's) as a store detective. I worked for ETNA life and casualty as an engineering representative after that. I was assessing the risks for the underwriters. I did that for a few years and then I came down with Multiple Sclerosis. I took a sabatical. I worked for VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) as a government employee. That was my last job. I was licensed as a psychologist, and did that for a number of years until I had to discontinue my license because I had no where practice counselling and no income. I did a lot of traveling at that time to Germany and Scandinavia. I backpacked in Germany for 2 weeks during the time that the wall was still up in 1973. I was diagnosed with MS in 1975.
