- 2:33-3:33 PM: check in at hotel; learn about computer vocabulary and metaphors
- 3:33 PM: we leave from hotel and head towards Summercore labs at Nobles
- 4-6 PM: welcome to Summercore: lockers, e-mail accounts, the computer rule of three, pink cards, group lecture on ClarisWorks slideshow, MacOpener for the PC, PC Exchange/MacLink Plus for the PC, similarities between Mac and Win95, Foolproof saving folder, first of several times to send your assignment in to Summercore Conference
- 6-7 PM: Dinner
- 7-9 PM: Introduction of Summercore Support Staff and Merry-Go-Round -- scanner station (Senam), digital camera/slide scanner station (Alexandra), audio recording and cd-burner station (Sam), video-conferencing station (Alex), hardware tech corner (Andrew), curriculum split groups (Lynne), overview of NoblesNet and First Class (Steve)

Overview: Monday, Marathon Day #2
- 8-9 AM: Breakfast for all (first of 3 special K breakfasts for beginners RAM vs ROM, RAM vs Hard Drive, the RAM chip on the Mac vs the Task Bar on Win95, bytes vs bits, bits and baud rate, bytes and graphic file size, bytes and audio file size)
- 9-10 AM Group Lecture, including more PC/Mac skills and Powerpoint
- 10-12:30 PM CD ROM Smorgasbord and group Powerpoint presentation
- 12:30-1 PM Show and Tell with Powerpoint or ClarisWorks presentations
- 1-2 PM First of 3 Total Gigabyte Lunches for computer coordinators, administrators and intermediate/advanced users
- 2-4:30 PM The World Wide Web: JV and Varsity Splits
- 4:30 PM Forced break or swim time
- 5 PM Elisa Goldsmith or Mark Sheeran talk briefly about the DLC (Digital Learning Center) and then will take a small group over to see it (occasionally, this takes place at a different time)
- 5:10-6 PM Catch up time/RAM time/unstructured time for everyone else
- 7-8:30 PM Summercore Exercises on WP, Graphics, the Web: Swing your Partner
- 8:30-9 PM Computer Ethics, The Copying Issue, On-Line Behavior

- 9-10 AM: round-table discussion -- let us construct a web page on Tips for a Fictitious School in French Lick, Indiana from Teachers and Computer Coordinators
- 10AM -1 PM: Spreadsheets, JV/Varsity Split with hands-on
- 1-2 PM: Lunch followed by John Paine 33 minute historical tour of the Castle at 1:33 PM
- 2-4:30 PM: Graphics Galore ...HyperStudio, a wonderful multimedia tool (JV and Varsity splits) ... Photoshop .. Animated Gifs
- 4:30-6 PM: Part I of Coast to Coast (web research in one lab, web production in other)

Photoshop intro ... listservs that come to your e-mail box
- 10-11:45 AM: Database Lectures (JV/Varsity) then hands-on
- 11:45AM-12 PM: Downloading from the web; setting up real video (Andrew Lamb)
- 12-1 PM: Part II of Coast to Coast (research in 1 lab, web production in other)
- 2-8 PM: Carnival Preparation begins ... choose your group ... educational software .. Hyperstudio .. web page production ... make your own audio CD-Rom .. Photoshop ... PageMaker ... spreadsheets .... databases .... create your own DLC, etc.

He is planning to put the file on a floppy but it is crucial that he load up the file on the new Mac he is buying once he starts playing for his new team. He is not sure what WP he will be using on that Mac. What should he do while still in Boston?
