I am currently a fourth grade classroom teacher at Greensboro Day School in Greensboro, NC.

Background

I grew up in Orchard Lake, Michigan, and attended the University of Michigan for an undergraduate degree in French Language and Literature. While at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, I spent one year at the University of Strasbourg in France. I have also done graduate work in French and Elementary Education at the following Schools: St. Lawrence University, Canton New York, University of Arizona, Tucson, and Hunter College in NYC.

I have taught in Niagara Falls, New York, at the DeVeaux School where I was the sole French teacher in this four year secondary boarding school. Other Schools where I've taught are The Belmont Hill School in Belmont, MA, The Buckley School in NYC, The Katherine Delmar Burke School in San Francisco, CA, and The Latin School of Chicago, respectively.

Interests and Activities

My current interests are teaching, music, travel, foreign languages and computers. I have a Mac Performa 6300CD at home and I work from a Power Mac at school: Greensboro Day School. I enjoy going to the beach, attending professional workshops and taking courses at GTCC and other local institutions of learning. I am fond of opera and you may enjoy this web site: Metropolitan Opera, or this one: Music Previews. You will need to download RealAudioPlayer to listen to this: Real Audio Player Download. If you enjoy inexpensive weekend travel, you may want to bookmark this site: US Air.

I hope to create a Fourth Grade Web Site for our school in the near future.
