Webquest for Ancient Greece The Task: You are going back to ancient Greece as a reporter, but first you will have to decide what topic you want to write about. Your choices are Sports, Entertainment, Religion, Food, FashionHomer's Odyssey: A Guide to understanding the Odyssey through a study of Greek Mythology: The Task: Acting as classroom historians, you will explore the world of Ancient Greece, its cultures, geography and myths. When you complete your quest you will have a better understanding of the lives of the ancient Greeks as well as an appreciation of the myths woven into the fabric of Homer's immortal tale.
The Odyssey Game: In this web game you can choose to be either Odysseus himself or his young son Telemachus or his beautiful wife, Penelope. If you choose Odysseus, you begin your adventure as you are about to leave Troy on your voyage home to Ithaca. Where will you head for first ...? If you choose Telemachus, you are about to hear news of your father for the first time in nearly ten years. How can you help him...? If you choose Penelope, you are about to be very surprised by your son's behavior ...
Ancient Rome
Let's Journey to Ancient Rome The Task: During this Webquest you will use teamwork and the Internet to explore Ancient Rome and learn about their daily life, myths, and government.
Did Rome Fall or Was it Pushed? The Task: Your team is assigned the task of researching the reasons for the fall of Rome and coming to a conclusion as to why it did. As you investigate, be sure to consider and compare your research to the status of the United States. Look at each question carefully and answer it with an eye on both the past and the present. As George Santayana said, "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it."
Unearthing the Lost City: The Task: Who were the Romans? What made their civilization unique? How did everyday life impact the structure of their cities? What unique architectural designs did they invent? How did they use these new designs to establish components of their cities?
